Opening the evening is Barber’s expressive and passionate Adagio for Strings. A work so deeply spiritual it defies description. Tracy Silverman returns for the world premiere of his piece, Love Song to the Sun. Featuring Silverman on his legendary electric violin and interactive video projections by Todd Winkler that tell a dramatic story of survival and triumph. And finally let Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 take you on a quest for the meaning of life. Light and sunny, yet rich and romantic, this is Mahler at his "feel good" best. Features Ilana Davidson, soprano.
